why god made us of course. what other way can there be such logic and order in the universe? there may be deceptive forces that make us think we created god but i think it is obvious (unless your an athiest, no offence) that god create us. deep thinking can be interesting but there are times when we have to take our heads out of the water and look at what is real. i wont push my god on anyone but i will make it know that there is a higher power than us and to ignore it is kind of sad espeshaly when it's glory is all around us. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE AND GIVE THANKS TOU OUR MAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

but each one is a god and a godess by her or his own right if they manage to practice and be able to control the "art" especially during the considered "holy dsys" of wiccans |

I believe in the gods and godesses of olden times, of old departed wise ones and entities and other beings and even from other dimensions as well. But some of them has lost their power to help us due to they have been forgotten by many by constantly evoking them they gain back their powers and then they are able to help us again |

The Bible says that God made us in "our" image and also made us male and female like "us". That is in the first chapter of Genesis but most people don't bother to read the details like that. Therefore there is more than one god and they are male and female - God and Goddess. |

You hold the key to the answer but first you must unlock the door that had prompted you to ask this question. Mere logic nor intelligence and analysis will never provide you the answer you seek. Was it suffering, in any of its multitude of forms or emptiness, which prompted this? Reflect calmly and submissively and listen quietly, the answer is blowing in the wind.....and when you know it

But who wrote the Bible? In reality this a very good book but written by humans with human errors. Many more errors have crept in the myriad translations. Many original books of the Bible are not even in the current editions. But the bottom line here is that the real answer to this question is YES!

The bible states that God created the heavens and the Earth along with Adam and Eve. That is where we came from.

in our mother,s womb a sperm and an egg merged and a higher intellegence--higher than mine-in my opinion-either formed us or the sperm and egg merger was programmed to form us either way a Great Spirit guided our development and is also the Great Spirit that may have many facets and names but that is the one to show gratitude to and ask for guidance and then wait for a wise answer--and do no harm,do what you will----in my opinion again when we have gratitude it is a calming and peaceful attitude that can displace negativity. Bless it Be***

wow!! alot of good answers here. For me I think we as humans over time give our thought forms and molded it into a specific energy. It is strange we are the only creatures on earth who thinks about other higher beings.

God is around all of us and our lives are influenced by their guidance. Does God exist or just a creation? Hmmm...? I do not know. I feel inside something, a connection. I have never been spiritual or anything throughout my life, but there is something out there that I am willing to follow. Something must give you meaning throughout the day, during bad times, good times, or when your dreaming. We cannot define God, but we feel God. Creation? I don't know, but much is going on in this world that needs us to realize or suspect that our attention is needed somehow, somewhere. We cannot make up our minds right away on any matter, but there is something there to guide us if we take our times in every decision. Not an answer, perhaps, but just a thought.

the gods and goddess have their purpose in the growth of the earth.if they did not create us they where put in charge of us. we are an unrulily bunch . beliving we know everything. and like selfish children we made a new god as soon as we did not get the results we wanted. t

I think in the case of greek mythology,we the people thought of god and poof god existed,we lose interest in our gods and they cease to exist. They seem to exist on the force of human beings them selves thus being because we think they are real so there fore they do.

This is indeed a tough question for no one can really know until the time of our lifes end. I, myself, believe that we were created by Them to care for the Earth and all it's beauties and creatures. But in the same, we have created Them to ensure us of our meaning here on Earth. Perhaps They do not have human resemblance. We have created Their image more, rather than creating Them for They were already in existance. We have just given form to the powers that we already knew existed. If that makes any sort of sence to whomever reads it.

As above, so below. We are a product of the Great Devine Force or Power that we long to maintain connection with. In the process of this creation we go through a transformation into physical matter and experience life as a physical being. We learn the limitations of this physical existence from a young age and build walls around our possibilities. Therefore, much of who we are is really made up of a lot of who we won?t allow ourselves to be. It is from this flawed design that we create our deities. Giving them two arms (except for Kali, Shiva and a few others), Usually two legs, form, gender and other limiting factors which I suppose is our revenge for not being provided with gills and wings and other such fun things as that. So we create our creators in our own image and do our best to explain their activities and enterprises in a way that we can relate to. This proves that we do have one thing in common for sure. We both have the ability to create! We create with our Will and support this Will with our energy. The Devine also creates with its Will and supports that creation with its energy. Thus it can be hard figure out where it all started. But here is the good part. It really does not matter. I mean, after all, humankind has been working on this since the dawn of time. Let us suppose that we do figure it all out. What do we win? We are going to find out when the physical matter of our human experience becomes obsolete (that is a fancy way of saying, When we croak). So if we are going to know after we are dead, what is the big deal in figuring out who is who and what happens and who is right and who is wrong? So, why not go Scuba Diving and Kayaking or Bike riding or Hiking and make our connection with each other and with Nature.

The Gods and Godesses I would think are more our parents than our creators. In the same way that we have childern the Gods and Goddesses give birth to our souls. They do not create our souls but provide a womb for the energy that is our souls to form and become unique.

We did not make the gods. The gods did not make us. Now the Great Goddess, She who was, before the gods were, did tell them who they were, and just perhaps, there was some interference in our making, who can say and how does it matter now? As they say, ask your motha- Yemaya! Or close your eyes and go deep within and remember! LOL!

When self-reflexsive beings became aware of the beauty of the earth, sun, moon, and cosmos. They became aware of the beings. Who or what was the first self-reflexsive being? The answear to this question will answear the original question. Each answear only gives me more questions to ask.

The word make, can be misleading. It is like the old question if a tree falls in the woods and no one etc. well if we didn't give the universal energy a name would it still exist? Answer: of course it would. If you believe in a god and goddess than you made them, if you don't than they made you.

:) Well, as you know Bill I am weird. I believe that we ARE the gods and goddesses, and that we simply fror various reasons come back through from time to time without memories fully intact....as to whether we therefore are the chicken or the egg... well, I am afraid I have no oppinion as well as no memory of the issue. :) However science has pproven that beofre there were chickens there were eggs, seeing that classs reptilia was the original developer of the egg. Now following a really thin thread of logic, and we are talking micro thin, that would seem to indicate that we the herptile deities came first and created our eggs after, thus deistic beings created us, or to be really annoying we were, and so we created ourselves. Now you coud see it as we existed as energy...then created bodies of a more physical though less enduring nature in which to spend some time experiencing things, or re-experiencing things for the first time by way of making ourselves forget. now while this last sounds terribly disappointing, I personally find it more apealingthan sitting on a cloud strumming a harp endlessly. ;) (Was that convoluted enough or what)

I hate to see a forum topic unposted, :) so I will add my response. BOTH. I believe that we are products of Divinity. Purposeful? Accidental? Immaterial. (in my mind anyway) Divinity set things in motion and designed the laws by which things interact. If it created us specifically and thoughtfully, so much the better. BUT I also believe that we created Divinity. We gave the gods and goddesses we know today their personality and their lore thus creating them. By accepting that god/desses are faces of Divinity, then we adknowledge that in a way, they *did* create us. Circular logic is grand.... lol
